Flag Folding Ceremony at Oak Park Place, 718 Jupiter Drive, Madison

In recognition of those who have served, especially in times of conflict, our American Legion Post 501 conducts a flag folding ceremony at Oak Park Place in recognition of Veteran's Day.   We need at least 5-6 Legionnaires & Auxiliary on Friday, November 9th, to assist at Oak Park Place, 718 Jupiter Drive, Madison.  Meet at Post 501 at 1:45 pm.  We will car pool to Oak Park Place. Ceremony begins at 2:30 pm and will last approximately 1 hour.  If you haven't yet participated, rest assured that we will share the procedures. 4 Readings are performed while the American flag is properly folded.  Attire (if you have) should include the Legion Class A Cap (if no cap, a baseball Veteran hat will suffice), Legion shirt or Class A Legion uniform (coat, tie, grey pants, cap).  White gloves are provided. Any Legionnaire or Auxiliary can be a part of this impressive ceremony. This is a yearly event for all the Veterans that reside at Oak Park Place.
