Large attendance at our Monthly Breakfast on 4-9-2016.

Large attendance at our Monthly Breakfast on 4-9-2016.

Pancake Breakfast:  Join us, open to the public, American Legion
membership not required. Bring your family and friends for a wide variety
of breakfast choices -- pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage
gravy on biscuits, bacon, sausage links, toast, coffee, milk, juice, and
applesauce.   NOTE - pancakes are all you can eat, just ask the server for more, but be sure you have a clean plate - no take home leftovers.
PLEASE NOTE:  INTERSECTION OF DEMPSEY RD. AND COTTAGE GROVE RD. CLOSED.  If you've ventured out to the Post lately, you may have found Dempsey Road closed at the intersection of Cottage Grove Road.  Unfortunately, this will be the case until Fall as they rebuild that intersection.  Only the first two blocks are closed but you may want to add some extra time to find an alternative route if you normally come that way.  Milwaukee Street and all the other Dempsey cross roads, including Dempsey Road by our Post, remain open for business.
Take a break from making breakfast at home with no dirty dishes to cleanup. Prices are very reasonable, much less than you might find at the fast food restaurants and cafes. It’s great time to visit with old friends, or even meet new ones.
Don't forget to put your name in the jar for a free future breakfast!
By the way, if you really want to have fun, volunteer an hour, or more, to
help serve good folks; dining help in the noisy kitchen, or sit at the cashier
table.  Just contact the Post 501 at 244-7716 and simply leave name and
phone number and a willingness to help out. This is our major fund raiser
which supports veterans and their families. See our link to programs which
Post 501 supports.
Post 501 membership has elected to provide a $1.00 discount for the Pancake Breakfast to any volunteer who would like to assist in working at the breakfast.  If you have not yet helped out, be sure to at least 1 time per year come to the Post and have a great time serving your fellow veterans.
Post breakfasts are always the 2nd Saturday of the month, 12 months of
the year.
