American Legion Post 501 Omelet Breakfast - take a break from cooking, stop by after church, great eats, share with veterans families.
Post 501 is offering, for the first time one can remember, an Omelet Breakfast for both legion members, their families, fellow veterans, and also open to the public. We want and need your support. Put this on your calendar for a special day.
You will have the opportunity to tell Chef Rishard, assisted by 2 Sous Chef's, just what will fill your fancy in the best Omelet ever. You can select Ham, Bacon Bits, Onions, Tomatoes, Green Peppers, Cheddar Cheese or, if you are really hungry, ask for the works. And by the way, eggs are included also. We'll have sausage links, hash browns, toast, and plenty of coffee, milk, and juice to supplement your meal. Bring your spouse, your child(ren), significant other and just plain (or complicated) friends. All are welcome.
Cost is always uppermost in mind. How does our Post compare with the commercial establishments located nearby? First off, we're not the High End Hotel brunches; our napkins are paper and not cloth. We provide paper place mats, not white linens. Classical music on a piano will not be playing in the background. But you will have good comradeship with your next table neighbor. This is a fund raiser, to be sure. Our Post provides countless help for veterans, their families and those experiencing difficult times. We are sponsoring 7 young high school boys to Badger Boys State up at Ripon College this coming June 2016. So we need your financial help.
Breakfast will be a reasonable $8.00 for each adult, and only $5.00 for a youth under age 12. Unfortunately, with the high cost of eggs, we don't offer a family deal, nor discounts for the Social Security set. Also, no discounts for Veterans, sorry. But we'd sure like for you to show up, eat hearty and help out the Veteran community.
We look forward to seeing you here at Post 501 on Sunday, January 24th, 2016.
